Our Story
A Perfect Blend of Sensational Food, Inspiring Ideas and Professional Staff
The Farmer’s Hand is a gourmet exchange between farmers, merchants and clientele. Serving sustainable and seasonal Californian cuisines with inspirations drawn from around the world brought to life through cooking. The Farmer’s Hand started as a way for the founder, Chef Alex Clark, to bring the food he loved and cared about to the people around him. Seeing an ability to provide a sense of place through food and design by having menus for each season and destination.
Born & raised in California Chef Alex was shaped by the cuisine, culture, and landscape of his homeland, ultimately shaping whom he would become. Studying Landscape Architecture in Central California while working at a restaurant Chef Alex became familiar with the culinary world as well as its native habitat. Chef Alex has worked in the food industry for over 15 years and had taken on multiple positions from the chef, server, lead expeditor, and busser. Trained as an Argentinian fire cook, Chef Alex worked with Chef Agustin Mallmann for almost a decade learning the art of cooking with fire. Deciding that his love for the California sun, fresh ingredients, and passionate people Chef Alex started The Farmer’s Hand in 2021 and set forth a goal of growing the company to have worldwide acclaim.
